We are Its Got Stealth
Its Got Stealth is the creative partnership of Jordan Turner and Adam Olds. For over ten years, the two have worked to develop a unique style that blends their love of animation with practical filmmaking skills to create music videos, title sequences, and short film projects.
After a couple of years learning to work with each other and building up their skills, the two embarked on their most ambitious project at the time. This was a short film called 'Those We Love' and featured an early version of Goliath that would eventually form the foundations for the backstory of Sydney3 and Devin Solomon (a character that will be prominent in Samurai Unicorn).
As title designers, two of the sequences they created for short film projects (A Handful of Dust and Bucketheads) were selected for SXSW 2019’s Title Design Competition.
Following this, the title sequence they made for Who Among Us was selected for the 2020 SXSW competition, though a global pandemic would see this particular year of SXSW heavily disrupted.
From 2018 onwards, Its Got Stealth have had a close collaborative relationship with newhaven, with Adam creating illustrative work for their albums and the pair producing mixed media music videos for songs on the band’s debut release ‘RUOK’ and follow-up EP.
The music video for newhaven’s track ‘Don’t Waste It’ also includes a lot of references to the world of Samurai Unicorn and acts as a slight teaser for Goliath and their experiments in one of their hidden facilities.
At the start of 2020, the duo decided to embrace their love of PS1 aesthetics to create an animated series based on an idea Jordan had been working on in the background since 2011. This project would eventually become Samurai Unicorn, which would quickly evolve into a game and in turn led to a whole new group of collaborators joining the pair to make the demo a reality.
